PEMBELAJARAN RESPONS PEMBACA HUJAN DI BULAN JUNI: EMOSI, BUDAYA, REFLEKSI

Abstract
Studi ini melihat bagaimana novel Hujan di Bulan Juni karya Sapardi Djoko Damono dapat digunakan untuk mengajar sastra dengan menggunakan pendekatan respons pembaca. Metode ini menekankan bahwa pembaca bertanggung jawab untuk menciptakan makna berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi, konteks budaya, dan tanggapan emosional mereka. Novel ini, yang berkembang dari puisi liris, menyajikan tema cinta yang dihalangi oleh perbedaan budaya dan identitas. Dengan simbolisme yang mendalam seperti hujan, diam, dan jarak, itu sangat layak untuk pembacaan yang berpikir kritis. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dan melibatkan siswa di kelas XI SMA. Kegiatan pembelajaran berfokus pada membaca, berbicara, menulis jurnal, dan membuat puisi atau surat fiktif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa respons siswa termasuk dalam empat kategori utama: afektif, psikologis, sosiokultural, dan estetis. Pembelajaran berbasis tanggapan pembaca dapat mendorong kreativitas literer, empati, dan pemahaman budaya siswa. Metode respons pembaca disarankan untuk diterapkan pada karya sastra Indonesia kontemporer lainnya. Metode ini mendukung pembelajaran sastra yang lebih humanistik, inklusif, dan kontekstual selain meningkatkan minat baca. Agar siswa tidak hanya memahami teks, tetapi juga mengalami dan memaknainya secara pribadi, guru harus mendorong tanggapan pembaca secara kreatif dan kritis.
